It made me think the first time I saw it. But now I’m even more puzzled, after realizing this examination would met the criteria for quality assessment, and so it should objectively be considered as a “good” tool.
- RELIABILITY. Multiple judges would probably give the same rank to animals according to their performance in this test.
- VALIDITY. cheating cannot take place in these standardized circumstances
- ACCURACY. he task would be valid job performance competence, if we wanted to select best climbers.
It would be a poor assessing tool, however, since much of what we value in education cannot be captured by this task. Fortunately. Too many cognitive conflicts for a Monday.
